DEENPU Wireline Overshot — non-releasable fishing tool with expanding slips

Product Overview

DEENPU wireline overshots retrieve a fish lost in the well that has no conventional fishing neck, or whose fishing neck is damaged. The tool is operated by applying the weight of the tool string onto the fish: the slips expand around the fish body and engage as the string is picked up.

These are non-releasable overshots — once engaged, the fish comes out with the tool. Sizes cover the standard range of tool string fishing necks; basket and slip combinations are matched to the fish OD.

Key Features

  • Catches fish with missing or damaged fishing necks
  • Weight-set expanding slips engage the fish
  • Non-releasable — positive retrieval

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When do I use an overshot instead of a grabbing tool?

A: When the fish has a smooth cylindrical surface or damaged neck — the expanding slips grip OD directly. For a proper fishing neck, a standard releasing overshot is faster.

Q: Can it release the fish downhole?

A: No — this is the non-releasable design; the fish is always retrieved once engaged.
