DEENPU Surface Safety Valve SSV — fail-safe actuated gate valve, API 6A wellhead safety

Product Overview

The DEENPU surface safety valve (SSV) is a fail-safe actuated gate valve installed downstream of the wellhead. On loss of actuating pressure — whether from an ESD command, fire loop, or fusible link — the spring-loaded actuator slams the valve closed, isolating the well automatically.

The valve body is a full API 6A slab gate design, so the SSV is repairable with standard gate valve parts. Actuators are available pneumatic or hydraulic, with manual override and open/close position indication.

Key Features

  • Fail-safe close on loss of control pressure
  • Slab gate body — standard API 6A repair parts
  • Pneumatic or hydraulic actuation
  • Manual override and position indicator
  • 2000 – 10000 PSI working pressure
  • Meets API 6A / API Spec 14D surface safety requirements

Quality & Testing

Every DEENPU Surface Safety Valve SSV is manufactured under our API-compliant quality system: raw material traceability, 100% dimensional inspection, hydrostatic pressure testing and hardness verification before packing. Material certificates, inspection reports and API documentation are provided with shipment on request.

Applications

  • Automatic well shutdown (ESD) systems
  • Fire-safe wellhead isolation with fusible links
  • Remote and unmanned well sites
  • Gas lift and high-pressure production wells

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does an SSV differ from a normal actuated valve?

A: An SSV is qualified to API Spec 14D for automatic well safety: it must fail closed reliably, close within a specified time, and hold well pressure from one direction — verified by design and testing.

Q: What control signal closes it?

A: Any system that vents the actuator supply: ESD panel, fire loop with fusible plugs, or high/low pressure pilot on the flowline.
