Product Overview

The DEENPU grease injection control head is required to obtain a dynamic seal when running braided cable into a live well. Grease is injected at approximately 20% above well pressure and fills the interstitial grooves between the braided line strands as the line passes through the flow tubes.

The critical components are the flow tubes, selected with an inner diameter approximately 0.010″ larger than the measured outside diameter of the line. Correct tube selection and grease pressure produce a zero-leak seal while the line is in motion.

Q: How do I choose the flow tube size?

A: Measure the actual line OD and select a tube with ID about 0.010″ larger. DEENPU stocks tubes for all common line sizes.

Q: What is the difference between the grease head and a stuffing box?

A: A stuffing box packs off a static line mechanically; a grease head hydraulically seals a moving braided line. Both are often stacked together on the same wireline valve.
